The security plugin I decided to download onto my website is called Wordfence. I chose this plugin, because of its easy to understand security features, offers traffic monitoring in real-time and there’s a free membership option.
Some of the other benefits to Wordfence is its two-way authentication login process. This provides extra security for users during the login step. This plugin also sends email alerts when it detects any security issues (which helps with preventing and stopping any potential online threats). Another positive to Wordfence is that they have learning resources and tutorials available for users to better understand the security setup process.
With over 5 million downloads and a 5 star rating, there’s a reason Wordfence is one of the top security plugins for WordPress. After researching this plugin and downloading it onto my own WordPress website, I feel I can trust my site will be significantly safer and more secure moving forward.
