When reviewing the Google organic search traffic for NWTC’s Starfish login page through Google Analytics, the data showed that students spend an average of 40 seconds on this page before clicking on the login link. I believe that there is a way to speed up the login process for students. Currently, the login to starfish button is located below several texts of information about starfish. This information is useful for first time users, but it’s not necessary for repeat students to have to read through again and again. By moving the login button from below to above the paragraphs of information, continuing students will be able to see and click on this link much faster.
